Job summary

Vintage Solutions is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in North Carolina to support staff and individuals served by strengthening medication safety practices. Qualifications

Job description

The primary responsibilities of the Nurse are to assist staff/contractors and support individuals who are served by developing medication safety practices.Responsibilities:Review medication administration records (MARs) for accuracy and timeliness, and verify orders are in place for medications givenIdentify missing, incomplete, late, or non-compliant documentation and communicate required corrections to appropriate staff.Communicate documentation and compliance expectations clearly and professionally.Identify trends, recurring deficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement where additional staff education or training may be needed based on audit findings.Track identified deficiencies through resolution and maintain documentation of corrective actions.Provide training and assessments of medication administration by staff/contractorsReview Medical Visit Summary for individuals served, ensure MAR is updated if neededMeet regularly with Vintage Solutions (VS) Management to review the total caseload, problem-solving and develop plans as neededCommunicate with QPs (qualified professionals) about MARs and compliance needsRemain compliant with HIPAA regulations when working with clients and client informationDriving and travel may be required.Help increase the communities understanding of the needs of the individuals we serve through trainings and other community eventsGrow the relationship between Primary Care providers and VS through lunch & learns, teaching and learning resourcesAssist with developing and maintaining quality improvement processesLicensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse licensed to practice in NCExperience in healthcare, behavioral health, IDD services, Medicaid-funded services, compliance, auditing, or quality assurance preferred.Knowledge of documentation standards and regulatory compliance strongly preferred.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Experience with using electronic documentation systems, Microsoft Word, and ExcelValid driver’s license
