Job summary

Catholic Health in New York is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide medical care in collaboration with licensed physicians and a multidisciplinary team. This part-time, 0.426667 FTE role offers days and evenings, with 2 days per week and varying start times, within the Caritas Medical Arts Building.

The ideal candidate will maintain NY RN and NP credentials, hold a current NP certification, and possess a master’s degree; an NP in Family Practice or Adult/Gerontology is advantageous and CPR

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with NY RN license.
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and NP certification.
• Master's degree preferred; licensure as NP in NY.
• Minimum 3 years NP experience; family practice preferred.

Work Schedule: Days and Evenings

Hours: 2 days a week varied start and end time between the hours of 7am-5pm.

Summary

Provides medical care in support of professional medical staff. Provides a variety of medical services to patients in accordance with established laws and procedures. Works cooperatively with other health professionals under the direct supervision of a physician.

Responsibilities

Education

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Maintains a current New York State Professional RN license
• Completion of an accredited program for Nurse Practitioners
• Maintains Adult, Acute Care or Family Nurse Practitioner Certification
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• Three (3) years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred
• Experience in family practice/specialty setting preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Ability

• Certification in CPR and annual re-certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Knowledge of Patient Centered Medical Home, with MIPS, HEDIS requirements preferred
