Job summary

Meritus Health in Maryland is seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to join our fast-paced team. You will provide high-quality care for acute walk-in conditions and perform minor procedures such as suturing, fracture care/splinting, and I&D.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s in Nursing, Maryland NP license, and strong clinical and communication skills. EPIC experience is preferred, with a focus on evidence-based practice and collaborative care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing is required; Doctorate in Nursing preferred.
• RN experience: five years as a Registered Nurse; NP experience: one year preferred.
• Active Maryland Nurse Practitioner license; Current DEA registration and CDS permit; Current BLS (AHA) required; ACLS required (PALS if applicable).
• Strong critical thinking, clinical competence; excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work collaboratively; strong organizational skills; knowledge of coding (ICD-10 & CPT) or willingness to learn; knowledge of case management.

• Manage a wide variety of acute urgent care cases.
