Job summary

Owensboro Health Medical Group's Urgent Care Leitchfield is seeking a per diem clinician to collaborate with physicians in diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions in diverse patient populations.

This role requires a Master’s degree in Nursing with Kentucky RN/APRN licensure and relevant national certifications, performing assessments, ordering studies, and delivering patient education. Per diem status with flexible scheduling is offered.

Job Summary

In collaboration with a physician, diagnoses and treats certain acute or chronic health conditions in specific populations.

Job Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview, and examination.
• Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies.
• May be required to perform preventative health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and care.
• Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
• Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options, and community resources.
• Provides care in the context of promoting age and culture-appropriate informed choices, shared decision- making, and the right to self-determination.
• Provides accurate and timely documentation of assessment and patient care plan.
• May coordinate the registration functions including collecting and entering demographic, insurance, employer information, and co-payments.
