Job summary

Owensboro Health Medical Group is seeking an RN/APRN to provide urgent care services in Leitchfield, KY, on a per diem/PRN basis. You will collaborate with physicians to diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions in adult populations.

The role requires a Master's degree in Nursing and valid Kentucky RN license with APRN national certification. You will order and interpret diagnostic tests, educate patients, document care plans, and coordinate patient registrations as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing is required upon hire.
• APR N certifications (AANP, AACCN, NCCCOGN, PNCB, ANCC or NCC) required upon hire.
• RN license in Kentucky required upon hire; APRN license/certification required in Kentucky.

Job Summary

In collaboration with a physician, diagnoses and treats certain acute or chronic health conditions in specific populations.

Job Responsibilities

Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview, and examination. Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies. May be required to perform preventative health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and care. Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers or community resources. Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options, and community resources. Provides care in the context of promoting age and culture-appropriate informed choices, shared decision- making, and the right to self-determination. Provides accurate and timely documentation of assessment and patient care plan. May coordinate the registration functions including collecting and entering demographic, insurance, employer information, and co-payments.
