Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Alamogordo, NM seeks a Nurse Practitioner for Urgent Care to join a 5-provider team and an outpatient practice. Work Mon-Fri with daytime hours, no call, and a busy patient volume of 30–40 daily patients.

Responsibilities include laceration care, suturing, splinting, IV hydration, and initial X-ray reads. Relocation and sign-on bonuses are offered along with a guaranteed salary and productivity bonus.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in New Mexico or able to obtain licensure before hire date.
• Urgent Care or ER experience preferred, or 2 years in Primary Care.
• Open to right candidate without prior experience if qualified.

Responsibilities

• Perform urgent care procedures: lacerations, suturing, splinting, higher level procedures, IV hydration.
• Read initial X-ray images and contribute to diagnostic interpretation for outpatients.
• Manage patient flow and care coordination in an outpatient setting.

About the Opportunity

• Team Composition: 5 Nurse Practitioners, LPNs, MA, X-ray tech
• Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM; Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Call: No Call
• Patient Distribution: 100% Outpatient
• Patient Volumes: Up to 30-40 patients per day
• Procedures needed: Lacerations, suturing, splinting, higher level procedures, initial X-Ray reads, IV Hydration

Requirements

• Preferred previous Urgent Care (UC) or Emergency Room (ER) experience or 2 years in Primary Care. Open to the right candidate without prior experience.
• Licensed in New Mexico or willing to obtain licensure before the hire date.
