Job summary

Baptist Health Prattville is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Physician Practice. The NP will perform histories, review records, and develop medical status reports, under the direction of a collaborating Physician, in a hospital-based and outpatient setting.

The role involves complete physical examinations, diagnosing and instituting therapy, including drug therapy, arranging admissions and discharges, and possibly hospital rounds.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing required.
• Minimum 2 years related nursing experience required.
• Active NP license required (ANCC or AANP).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform histories and physical examinations.
• Review patient records to develop medical status reports.
• Diagnose and institute therapy, including drug therapy.
• Institute emergency measures and arrange hospital admissions/discharges under physician direction.
• May complete hospital rounds and provide patient care guidance.
