Job summary
Baptist Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for the Physician Practice to perform histories, exams, diagnoses, and therapy under a collaborating physician. The NP will institute emergency treatment and coordinate hospital admissions/discharges as directed, with potential rounds and patient guidance as needed.
Minimum requirements include an MS in Nursing with at least 2 years of nursing experience, and an active NP license through ANCC or AANP plus BLS.
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing required.
- Minimum 2 years of related nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Take complete histories and review patient records to develop medical status reports.
- Perform physical examinations, make diagnoses and institute therapy, including drugs.
- Institute emergency measures and arrange hospital admissions and discharges.
- Possibly perform hospital rounds and provide patient care guidance.
