Job summary

Qualifications

• Masters Degree or Doctoral Degree as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Education must be from an accredited nursing school (ACEN/CCNE).
• Board Certification: National certification for APRN practice (AANPCB).
• Certifications: BLS from AHA or Red Cross.
• Experience: At least two years of direct patient care in past five years as NP.
• Licensure: Active license to practice as NP.

Responsibilities

• Implement and adapt medical theories and technologies based on evidence.
• Analyze health data to inform patient care and population health outcomes.
• Integrate nursing and primary care practices to assess clinical problems.
• Perform systematic physical examinations and interpret findings for diagnoses.
• Prescribe medications and initiate emergency care as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians on patient management and therapeutic plans.
• Design and evaluate care outcomes against national benchmarks.
• Document encounters in MHS Genesis within required timelines.
