Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide pre-operative evaluations for surgical patients in Clifton Springs. In an ambulatory setting, you will assess acute and chronic conditions and coordinate with the Surgery team.

You will synthesize history, exams, and tests to prepare patients for upcoming procedures, perform telephone follow-ups, order preoperative tests, and ensure timely communication with physicians while maintaining accurate documentation and adherence to

Formación

• MS in Nursing required.
• Nurse Practitioner Certification and NYS RN licensure.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience in perioperative, inpatient, or internal medicine care preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Synthesize and interpret history, physical examination, and diagnostic data to evaluate patient for upcoming procedures.
• Provide telephone consultation and follow-up calls; assess needs and refer as appropriate.
• Refer patients to physician or specialist as necessary.
• Responsible for work-up and follow up of office patients.
• Check preoperative labs, EKG, and imaging; address significant abnormalities and inform attending surgeon.
• Write preoperative orders per patient needs and departmental guidelines.
• Notify attending surgeon of issues that may delay or cancel procedures.
• Maintain proficiency by attending courses.
• Comply with department and hospital rules on medical records and emergencies.
• Train other students as requested.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize and interpret history, physical examination, and diagnostic testing data to evaluate patient for preparation for upcoming procedures
• Provide telephone consultation, follow-up phone calls; assess needs and make recommendations and/or referrals as appropriate
• Refer patients to physician, and/or specialist as necessary
• Responsible for the work-up and follow up of patients seen in the office
• Checks preoperative laboratory, EKG and x-ray data; any significant abnormal finding should be addressed timely and reported to the attending surgeon when appropriate
• Writes preoperative orders according to patient needs and departmental guidelines
• Notifies attending surgeon of any issues regarding patient that potentially will delay/cancel procedure
• Maintains proficiency in field by attending courses
• Shall comply with Rules and Regulations of the department as they apply to physician assistants
• Shall comply with Rules and Regulations of the hospital where credentialed pertaining to Medical Records, codes/emergencies/disasters, professional and ethical standards
• Training of other students as requested

Physical Requirements

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
