Job summary

Ambu in Texas is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide direct patient care in a specialty clinic, with delegated prescriptive authority and credentialing privileges.

The NP conducts comprehensive exams, orders and interprets tests, develops outcomes-based treatment plans, and collaborates with physicians and the care team. Responsibilities include counseling patients and families, maintaining records, and performing procedures within scope as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Experience: Less than 1 year.
• Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse licenses.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients with comprehensive or problem-focused exams and histories.
• Orders, interprets labs and tests to guide care decisions.
• Prescribes and manages therapies per approved protocols.
• Develops outcomes-based treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
• Counsels patients and families on care, meds, and health promotion.
• Maintains records detailing treatment plans and outcomes.
• Performs procedures within scope and advanced practice.
