Job summary

Medical Director Services PC in Cedar Grove, NJ is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide primary care services at a skilled nursing facility. Excellent salary offered, commensurate with experience. The NP will perform exams, review histories, educate residents and families, and collaborate with medical attending and nursing staff to ensure high-quality care.

Board certification required; hospital experience preferred. Two weekend days a month preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as primary care provider to long and short term residents; assess health by visits, exams, histories.
• Team-based care; collaborate with medical attending/physician and nursing home staff.
• Educate residents and families; formulate evidence-based care plans aligned with patient needs and wishes.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws; monitor legislation and advise on actions.
• Maintain professional knowledge by attending workshops and reading publications.
• Maintain safe, clean environment and align with core values of respect, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity.
• Review charting, documentation, and administration of care for timeliness and accuracy.
