Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Pre-Anesthesia Services team. You will perform comprehensive preoperative evaluations, assess anesthesia risks, and help optimize patients before surgery in collaboration with anesthesiologists and surgeons.

In this multidisciplinary perioperative setting, you’ll review medical histories, coordinate tests and clearances, educate patients and families, and communicate recommendations to the surgical team to

Competenze

• Master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current or eligibility for Massachusetts APRN licensure.
• Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Current BLS certification; additional certifications may be required.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication and care-coordination skills.

• Perform comprehensive preoperative evaluations and risk assessments.
• Identify anesthesia-related risks and optimize patients before procedures.
• Review medical histories, medications and prior anesthesia experiences.
• Order and interpret preoperative labs and diagnostics as indicated.
