GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Advanced Practitioners (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner) to join our urgent care teams in the Norwich, CT area. You will provide high-quality patient care, spanning acute episodic conditions, with support from a leading health system model.

Responsibilities include conducting exams, taking histories, ordering tests, diagnosing, and prescribing medications. A strong focus on patient experience and collaborative care within a multi-disciplinary

Qualifications

• One year of Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience required.
• PA candidates must have Bachelor's Degree; NP candidates must have Master's Degree.
• Experience treating both adult and pediatric patients in acute care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat patients in urgent care settings.
• Take medical histories and document in the EMR.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and X-rays; make diagnoses.
• Prescribe medications and provide patient education and follow-up.

The salary range is based on .9 - 1.0 FTE and will be adjusted proportionally based on the approved FTE.*Job SummaryUrgent care Advanced Practitioners (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner) provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections. Functioning in lieu of or alongside of a physician, it is essential for an urgent care Advanced Practitioner to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary.Job RequirementsEducation* Bachelor's Degree *required for Physician Assistants** Master's Degree *required for Nurse Practitioners*Work Experience* One (1) year of full-time experience in Emergency Medicine or One (1) year of Urgent Care setting experience required.
