We are seeking a per diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in providing care to patients throughout the perioperative care continuum. This role is designed to provide coverage and support for our full-time APPs during planned and unanticipated absences. Scheduling needs may vary seasonally; however, per diem Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants should be available to work a minimum of approximately 10 hours per month, with potential opportunities to work up to three to four 8‑hour shifts per month based on departmental needs. To support patient access and minimize travel, in‑person clinical sessions will be based on the selected candidate’s geographic location within the Mass General Brigham footprint.
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The NP is responsible for assessing and managing various patient populations, including those with medical and/or surgical conditions, as well as providing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, developing appropriate plans of care, and conducting ongoing evaluations. Experience 2 years of licensed nurse practitioner experience 1-2 years required
A minimum of five years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is required, with experience in Primary Care, inpatient Hospital Medicine, Geriatrics, Perioperative Medicine, or pre-operative optimization strongly preferred.
