GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners to cover urgent care needs in Connecticut. Providers will diagnose and treat acute illnesses, perform procedures, and coordinate care in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers a sign-on bonus, competitive salary, and comprehensive benefits. Floats within 30 miles of home center with shift differentials for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required for Physician Assistants.
• Master's Degree required for Nurse Practitioners.
• One year of full-time experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care; two years in Family Medicine considered.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat patients.
• Take patients' medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and X-rays.
• Make diagnoses and prescribe medications.
• Treat minor injuries with sutures, splints, or casting.

Functioning in lieu of or alongside of a physician, it is essential for an urgent care Advanced Practitioner to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary.Float within 30 miles of home center**Job Requirements**Education* Bachelor's Degree *required for Physician Assistants** Master's Degree *required for Nurse Practitioners*Work Experience* One (1) year of full-time experience in Emergency Medicine or One (1) year of Urgent Care setting experience required.
