Position Overview

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible for providing medical services at on-site clinic health units or events for Commercial and Government contracts, supporting rapid deployments during emergencies and disasters. This is a temporary position, with duration based on operational needs and client requirements.

  • This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
  1. Provide medical services within the scope of a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant to maintain the health of employees and client personnel.
  2. Assess urgent or emergent health needs, analyze data, and develop care plans collaboratively with the medical team, considering employee capabilities and job requirements.
  3. Recognize and treat illnesses and injuries according to established protocols and within licensure and regulatory guidelines.
  4. Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with protocols and the Privacy Act.
  5. Identify and document signs and symptoms of physical and mental conditions.
  6. Exercise judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills daily.
  7. Ensure patient privacy through confidentiality, infection control, proper medication administration, and equipment maintenance.
  8. Adhere to all privacy laws and safeguard sensitive information (HIPAA, PHI, PII).
  9. Maintain professionalism, ethical standards, discretion, and confidentiality in all communications and documentation.
  10. Follow safety policies and perform duties in a safe manner.
  11. Perform additional duties as required by the contract.
Qualifications
  1. Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license with at least 2 years of experience, or
  2. Active and unrestricted Physician Assistant (PA) license with at least 2 years of experience.

Certifications: ACLS and BLS required.

Skills: Ability to multi-task, detail-oriented, organized, excellent communication skills, proficiency with MS Office and office equipment, and adaptability to high-stress environments and shift changes. Willingness to travel within the U.S. as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in ER-Triage, Infection Control, or Critical Care as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for at least 2 years.

Physical Requirements

May involve working in environments supporting emergency health responses with PPE guidelines in place. Requires sitting, standing, bending, stooping, and lifting as necessary for patient care and transport.
