Job Overview

The UC College of Medicine, one of the oldest in the country, is seeking a full-time Mid-Level Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to provide comprehensive care in interventional radiology across various locations including West Chester Hospital and UC Medical Center. The position involves working Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Essential Functions

• Understand IR procedures to inform patients and providers.
• Perform history and physical exams prior to IR procedures.
• Obtain informed consent for outpatient and inpatient IR procedures.
• Manage pre- and post-procedure orders and inpatient admissions.
• Provide medication reconciliation, prescribing, and discharge planning.
• Make rounds, evaluate new IR requests, coordinate outpatient and inpatient procedures.
• Follow up with patients, assist in IR procedures, and participate in quality safety programs.
• Attend morbidity & mortality conferences and assist in fluoroscopic procedures.
• Perform image-guided procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, abscess drainage, gastrostomy tube exchanges, and catheter placements.

Minimum Requirements

Nurse Practitioner:

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority and Board Certification.
• At least 3 years of nursing experience.

Physician Assistant:

• Master’s degree from an accredited PA program.
• Active Ohio PA license with prescriptive authority and NCCPA certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.

Additional Qualifications

• Experience in Interventional Radiology and Epic EHR system are a plus.
