Summary:

Responsibilities include:
- Assessing patient needs within urgent care and primary care settings
- Triaging patients appropriately to differentiate needs
- Evaluating patients in a timely manner, prioritizing patient care
- Performing thorough history and physical exams
- Creating individualized, evidence-based care plans
- Consulting with supervising or backup physicians as needed
- Managing private, occupational, and workers’ compensation patients
- Ordering diagnostic tests following evidence-based standards
- Using evidence-based resources for treatment decisions
- Prescribing medications based on best practices
- Referring patients to specialists when necessary
- Performing procedures such as local anesthesia, wound management, foreign body removal, and initial fracture management
- Complying with state regulations
- Educating patients about their conditions and discharge plans
- Engaging in lifelong learning and completing CME requirements
- Educating staff members as a resource
Patient Rights and Care Environment:
- Treat patients professionally and compassionately
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding patient care
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Arrive on time and adhere to dress code policies
- Respect and collaborate with staff
Patient Convenience and Cost-Effective Care:
- See all patients arriving until clinic closing
- Evaluate and treat efficiently while maintaining quality and safety
- Document visits and follow-up care accurately within 3 days
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active certification and licensure in the state of practice
- No encumbered license
- Ability to evaluate and manage patients independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, customer-service oriented, and team player
- DOT certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
