Job summary

BAS Healthcare, Inc. in Ahoskie, NC, seeks a Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its 15-bed Emergency Department. The ED is supported by 24-hour hospitalist and radiology coverage, and an integrated EPIC system.

Shift pattern includes twelve 12-hour shifts per month (9:00am–9:00pm and 12:00pm–12:00am). BLS/ACLS are required; relocation assistance is available. Employed salary plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Board certified Acute Care NP or PA required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a 15-bed ED.
• Collaborate with ED physicians and APs.
• Document and manage care in EPIC EMR.
• Coordinate patient transfers when needed.

Job Details:

• Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide patient care in a 15-bed Emergency Department
• Emergency Medicine Provider team includes 4 physicians and 4 Advanced Practice Providers
• Twelve (12) 12-hour shifts per month; daily shifts are 9:00am-9:00pm and 12:00pm-12:00am
• 24-hour hospitalist and radiology coverage with telestroke support
• Strong air and ground support available for immediate patient transfers
