Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Baton Rouge seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant to develop and monitor individualized medical care plans for clients throughout treatment. You'll collaborate with medical, clinical, and UR teams to stabilize patients, manage medications, and document interventions, ensuring seamless coordination of care across the program.

This role requires a master's degree, active state licensure, DEA, and strong communication and multitasking skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in medical field required and relevant certifications.
• Valid state medical license required.
• Federal DEA certification required.
• Acute observational and critical thinking skills essential.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Strong collaborative and multitasking abilities preferred.
• 3–5 years of related clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create individual medical care treatment plans and provide medical monitoring/medication management for each client.
• Stabilize patients and enable engagement in treatment.
• Update pharmacy orders, create UDS, med and lab orders, review UDS and lab results.
• Collaborate with extended medical, clinical, and UR teams for care coordination.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all medical interventions and directives.
• Manage daily and weekly client appointment schedules.

What You'll Do:
