Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for Medical Staff Services on a Per Diem basis. The NP will provide services as a licensed independent practitioner, collaborating with physicians to deliver high-quality care and support timely discharge across the hospital.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, orders, chart documentation, and collaborative care with physicians, case managers, and nurses.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NP program approved by the State of New York.
• Current NP certification from either the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
• Bachelor's and Master's degrees.
• Current New York State license as registered nurse and NP.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician with patient management focusing on quality care and timely discharge.
• Document care, orders, and billing information in the chart per hospital policy.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and nursing staff to coordinate patient care.
• Participate in trauma team activities and ensure appropriate privileges and documentation.
