Job summary

NONPF seeks a Nurse Practitioner to cover Pediatric General Surgery and Otolaryngology (ENT) departments. Night shifts are from 6pm to 7am. The role involves collaborating with physicians, performing health assessments, and developing treatment plans within state nurse practice rules.

A starting bonus is included and credentialing for practice privileges is required. The candidate must hold Ohio RN licensure with national NP certification, prescriptive authority (or eligibility), BLS, and be

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an RN in Ohio with NP certification.
• Must have current authority to prescribe or be eligible.
• Credentialing as active medical staff privileges.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be required by practice setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced nursing care to patients with complex acute, critical, and chronic conditions.
• Works with neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations as needed.
• Practices in high-acuity care settings requiring advanced nursing intervention.
• Participates in FPPE/OPPE quality monitoring per Joint Commission requirements.
• Promotes health, disease prevention, and acute/chronic care management.
• Completes admission H&P, progress notes, and discharge summaries as required.
• Assists with discharge planning and staff/resident education as needed.
• May serve as clinical preceptor for APN students.
