Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks an advanced practice clinician to provide primary care services in a physician office setting with weekend and on-call coverage on a rotation basis. The role includes documenting medical history, creating care plans, ordering tests, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold an MSN with NP licensure or PA qualifications, board certification, and active licensure.

Qualifications

• Master's degree MSN from the practicing State Board of Nursing Approved Master's Program.
• National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners.
• Practicing-state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care including recording medical history and physical assessment, developing therapeutic care plan, ordering diagnostics and documenting medical records.
• Communicates and coordinates patient care with patient, family and interdisciplinary team; involves attending physician when needed.
• Provides monitoring, continuity of care and periodic evaluation by physicians as defined in the agreement.
• Prepares prescription orders, administers medications and injections, sutures wounds and provides wound care.
• Educates patients and families on health, medications, and treatment instructions; recommends community resources.
• Triages patient calls and participates in performance and quality improvement initiatives.

Education

Master's degree MSN from the practicing State Board of Nursing Approved Master's Program

National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners

Current PA Physician Assistant License

PA-C or board eligible. Ongoing recertification (NCCPA) within 90 days of hire

Drug Enforcement Agency Licensure Within 60 days of hire
