Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for outpatient clinics. You will provide direct patient care under physician supervision and may specialize in areas within medicine as needed.

The role requires performing comprehensive exams, ordering tests, prescribing therapies, and coordinating care with the supervising team. Texas NP licensure and BLS are required; outpatient setting experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in nursing.
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in Texas and APRN certification.
• Experience or ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical and mental condition via exams and histories.
• Order, collect, interpret diagnostic tests and labs.
• Prescribe therapies and perform procedures per protocol.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with physicians.
• Counsel patients on medications, nutrition and health.
• Maintain records and coordinate referrals when needed.
• Provide specialty consultation and manage patients in various settings.
• Perform invasive procedures delegated by supervising physician.
