About the Role: As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in our Health and Safety Division, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care and support to our employees. You will work collaboratively with our Health and Safety team to address health issues, manage occupational health programs, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

General Job Duties Include:

• Performing pre-employment physical exams
• Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating occupational and non-occupational illnesses and injuries
• Ordering and interpreting laboratory and radiology results
• Modifying duty assignments related to workers' compensation injuries and ADA illnesses, and injuries

• Hourly Employment: Roster positions are paid hourly and do not include benefits such as medical, dental, or vision insurance, life insurance, paid leave, or paid holidays.
• Limited Hours: Roster employees may work up to, but no more than, 1,000 hours in a 12 month period.
• Pension System: Roster positions are not eligible for membership in the city’s pension system.

What You Bring: Minimum Qualifications:

• Licensed and certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – preferably in NC
• CPR certified

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with occupational health, orthopedic injuries, urgent care, and workers' compensation
• 1 years of clinical experience as an NP or PA
