Job summary

NextCare in Newcastle, OK is seeking a Part‑Time clinician to join our urgent care team. Four 12‑hour shifts per month with clinic hours 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, seven days a week; compensation $60–$80/hour plus bonus, partial benefits.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP/PA license
• Board certification or eligibility (NCCPA for PA; ANCC/AANP for NP)
• Active DEA license or ability to obtain
• Ability to treat patients of all ages
• Active BLS certification
• EHR proficiency
• Willingness to work weekends/holidays
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management
• Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Document patient care accurately in the EHR
• Code and bill services appropriately
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
• Practice in alignment with NextCare standards and values

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted OK license for NP | PA
• Board certification or eligibility, as applicable
  • PA: NCCPA certification
  • NP: ANCC or AANP certification (FNP required)
• Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to treat patients of all ages
• Active BLS certification
• EHR proficiency
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast‑track experience
• Strong procedural skills (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care)
• Experience with initial x‑ray interpretation prior to radiology over‑read
