Overview
Concentra is looking for a PRN (as-needed) APC for our onsite clinic at our client's site in Coatesville, PA. This is a great opportunity to be involved in employee health, wellness, and safety! Clinic Hours (as-needed coverage hours): M-F 8am-4pm.
Responsibilities
- Spends 100% of time in the onsite clinic providing direct patient care, leading by example, and creating an exceptional patient experience.
- Ensures day-to-day execution of Concentra's clinical model collaborating with members of the healthcare team to drive optimal clinical outcomes.
- Accountable for monitoring, understanding, and effecting key onsite clinic metrics that relate to quality outcomes.
- Provide advanced primary care including chronic condition management, gaps in care, preventive health and age-appropriate screenings, vaccinations, social determinants of health (SDOH), wellness initiatives, clinic utilization and patient satisfaction.
- Support occupational medicine with timely return-to-work measures after an injury, case duration, lost time, work duty status, and improvement in functional capacity.
- Provide direct patient care through history taking, physical examination, diagnosis, and development of treatment plans.
- Administer or order diagnostic tests (e.g., x-ray, electrocardiogram, laboratory tests).
- Maintain timely, accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
- Perform therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and manage infection.
- Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed regimens and health maintenance.
- Listen to and understand internal and external client needs.
- Assist in the development, implementation and revision of policies affecting medical practice judgment and quality of clinical care.
- Assist in the development and presentation of education and instructional programs.
- Provide excellent and compassionate customer service to all patients, clients and peers while upholding Orange Book values.
Education & Credentials
Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree
Major: Nursing or related health field
Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
Education Details:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent education and experience
- Master’s degree in nursing or related health field from an accredited college or university
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Certifications & Licenses
- Current licensed nurse practitioner in the state where employed and in accordance with state laws of practice
- Must maintain work state nurse practitioner licensure throughout the course of employment
Job Experience
Customarily has at least the following experience:
3 years
- Customarily has at least three years of demonstrated experience in occupational medicine, urgent care or an emergency setting
