Job summary

Optum AZ is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Primary Care Community Center float in Phoenix, AZ. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday with 36 patient contact hours, utilizing EPIC EMR with Dragon dictation and AI note-taking.

Relocation assistance is available for out-of-state applicants; join a team that supports community health and career growth within Optum Care Delivery.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Arizona NP or PA license or ability to obtain by start date.
• National NP certification through AANC or AANP, or PA certification through NCCPA.
• Minimum two years of experience as a primary care provider.
• Current DEA registration or ability to by start date.
• Current BLS certification or ability to by start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient primary care within full scope of licensure.
• Full-time schedule with 36 patient contact hours per week.

Required Qualifications:

• Unrestricted Arizona Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license or ability to obtain by start date
• National Nurse Practitioner certification through AANC or AANP, or Physician Assistant national certification through NCCPA
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a primary care provider
• Current DEA registration or ability to by start date
• Current BLS certification or ability to by start date

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in providing patient care under a Value Based Care Model
• Experience in outpatient Primary Care
• Knowledge of HEDIS measures, CAHPS, HOS, HCC Coding documentation
• Proficient in Medicare Annual Wellness visits
• Proficient in EMR systems & technology (EPIC Preferred)

The salary range for this role is $104,500 to $156,000 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
