Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, part of Allina Health, seeks a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our established PM&R Concussion Program. Provide specialized care for concussions and mild TBI while working with PM&R physicians, APPs, and rehabilitation specialists.

This role offers strong clinical support, engaged leadership, and a path to meaningful recovery for patients in Minnesota’s leading rehabilitation program.

Qualifikationen

• Completion of an accredited physician assistant program OR nurse practitioner program.
• New graduates may be considered; minimum 2 years PM&R experience preferred.
• Licenses/certifications: NCCPA or ANCC certification within specialty required on hire; ACLS-BLS Tier 2; DEA required.

Job Summary

Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, part of Allina Health, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our established Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Concussion Program. Provide specialized care for patients with concussions, mild traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and post-concussion symptoms while working alongside experienced PM&R physicians, APPs, and rehabilitation specialists. This collaborative, mission-driven role offers strong clinical support, engaged leadership, and the opportunity to help patients achieve meaningful recovery and improved function within one of Minnesota’s leading rehabilitation programs.

Hours/shifts: Monday - Friday daytime hours, no weekends, no call

Locations: Abbott Northwestern Hospital, United Hospital, and Mercy Hospital Specialty Center

Job Description

• Provides clinical care for patients in an outpatient setting
• Will conduct follow-up appointments and may complete patient assessments as appropriate
• Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician
• Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment
• Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care
• Refers for specialty care when determined
• Consults with physician when patient's needs outside of advanced practice provider's scope
• Promotes communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff
• Acts as a resource to members of the team
• Works with primary care team for program development
• Acts as liaison with outside agencies as needed
• Collaborates with hospital staff by consulting and rounding on patients if designated by the specialty

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited physician assistant program OR nurse practitioner program

Preferred Qualifications

• New Graduates may be considered.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Licenses/Certifications

• Certification as a Physician Assistant - NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) required upon hire OR Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification within specialty required upon hire
• ACLS-BLS Tier 2 - Multisource required within 180 Days
• Drug Enforcement Administration required upon hire

Pay Range

Pay Range: $56.48 to $78.15 per hour

The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
