Indiana University Health Medical Group in Indianapolis is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Cardiology team at Methodist Hospital. This 100% outpatient role is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with no call or weekends and no procedures.

Indiana University Health Medical Group is hiring! We are seeking a patient-focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiology team at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN!

Position Details

• Full-time
• Monday-Friday (8am-4:30pm)

Patient Population

• Adult general cardiology patients aged 17 through end of life

Key Responsibilities

• Position will involve management of general cardiology patients including initiation/titration of guideline directed medical therapy.
• Hospital Follow-Up appointments
• Patient education

Qualifications

• Master's Degree Required
• ACNP, AGNP, FNP, or PA certifications required
• If new graduate, must have ICU/PCU nursing experience or extensive ICU or cardiology experience during clinical rotations
• Provider must have excellent critical thinking skills and be able to multi-task in a high intensity setting.
• Must have excellent communication skills to ensure plans of care are carried through as well as to foster relationships across the multi-disciplinary team.
• Provider needs to have confidence in their clinical skill set to function at the top of their scope.

With 1,000 beds, IU Health Methodist Hospital is a large tertiary referral center with over 130 ICU beds. It serves as the largest trauma center in Indianapolis, as well as a highly subspecialized center for cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, lung transplantation, and neurocritical care.

IU Health is building a new downtown hospital and campus, which will consolidate operations of the adjacent IU Health Methodist and University Hospitals. Construction for the new hospital is well underway and set to open in late 2027. It will feature three 16-story towers with 864 beds. IU School of Medicine is also constructing a medical education and research building directly east of the new hospital.
