Job summary

Indiana University Health Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiology/Heart Failure team at Methodist Hospital. This is an inpatient role with a day shift, 4x10-hour shifts weekly, and rotating weekends/holidays.

Join a large team of physicians and APPs, focusing on guideline-directed therapies, admissions, discharges, and patient education for heart failure patients.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• ACNP, AGNP, FNP, or PA certifications required.
• Experienced APP preferred.
• Open to motivated new graduates depending on prior experience and skill level.
• If new graduate, ICU/PCU nursing experience or extensive ICU or cardiology experience during clinical rotations.
• Excellent critical thinking, multi-tasking in high-intensity setting, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient advanced heart failure management including guideline directed medical therapy and inpatient heart failure consults, admissions and discharges, and patient education.

Indiana University Health Medical Group is hiring! We are seeking a patient focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiology/Heart Failure Team at Methodist Hospital!

Position Details

• Full-time, Day Shift
• 4 10-hour shifts per week
• Rotating every 3rd -4th weekend and also rotating holidays
• No call
• 100% Inpatient
• Join a large,established group of 50 physicians and 27 APPs
• Working directly with 4 Physicians and 4 other APP's

Key Responsibilities

• This position will involve inpatient advanced heart failure management including initiation of guideline directed medical therapy advanced therapies, inpatient heart failure consults as well as new admissions/discharges and patient education for heart failure patients.

With 1,000 beds, IU Health Methodist Hospital is a large tertiary referral center with over 130 ICU beds. It serves as the largest trauma center in Indianapolis, as well as a highly subspecialized center for cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, lung transplantation, and neurocritical care.

IU Health is building a new downtown hospital and campus, which will consolidate operations of the adjacent IU Health Methodist and University Hospitals. Construction for the new hospital is well underway and set to open in late 2027. It will feature three 16-story towers with 864 beds. IU School of Medicine is also constructing a medical education and research building directly east of the new hospital.
