Job summary

Florida Heart & Vascular in Broward County is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the electrophysiology team. This full-time role supports Fort Lauderdale and Plantation clinics, with a mix of outpatient and inpatient care and about one weekend of call per month.

You will evaluate arrhythmia patients, perform rounds, review tests, adjust therapies with physicians, and contribute to coordinated care in a physician-led, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Board-certified NP or PA with cardiology background.
• Active Florida license or ability to obtain before start.
• Cardiology and EP experience preferred; EP experience a plus.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with arrhythmias and cardiovascular conditions.
• Conduct new evaluations and follow-up visits.
• Perform hospital rounds and assist with cardiovascular consultations.
• Review EKGs, imaging and labs to guide treatment.

As we continue to expand our electrophysiology services throughout Broward County, we are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our established, physician-led team. This role will support our Fort Lauderdale and Plantation clinics and affiliated hospitals, providing a mix of outpatient and inpatient electrophysiology care. It is an excellent opportunity for an APP with a cardiology background to develop specialized EP expertise and grow their career with an expanding cardiovascular practice.

Job Highlights

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias and other cardiovascular conditions
• Conduct new patient evaluations and follow-up visits
• Perform hospital rounds and assist with cardiovascular consultations
• Review EKGs, cardiac imaging, laboratory studies, and other diagnostic testing
• Manage cardiovascular medications and treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
• Provide patient education and ongoing care coordination
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Qualifications

• Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Active Florida license or ability to obtain one before starting
• Cardiology experience preferred
• Electrophysiology experience is a plus
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
