Evolution Research Group in Columbus, OH is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Manager to provide primary care within the facility and maintain patient records. You will mentor staff, develop policies, and oversee study protocols to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.

The role combines clinical duties with managerial responsibilities, including staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and regulatory compliance, all while supporting CNS-focused clinical trials and patient care

Qualifications

  • MSN or DNP from an accredited program and current RN license with board certification.
  • PA has completed an accredited Physician Assistant program and holds state license with board certification.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role with on-site management responsibilities.
  • Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions including quality assurance, finance, and employee management.
  • Ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed and efficiency.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legislative guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary care to patients within the facility and maintain health records.
  • Mentor staff at the research site and assist in staff performance evaluations and scheduling.
  • Develop and implement site policies and directives; oversee recruitment and training.
  • Oversee clinical trials management, operations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with Clinical Research Coordinators and other clinicians to support trials.
  • Ensure good clinical practices (GCP), ICH guidelines, HIPAA, and SOPs are followed.

Job Description:

The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing primary care to patients within the facility, as well as keeping records of patients’ health, creating patient care plans, and administrating diagnostic tests. This role will require working closely with the Clinical Research Coordinators, assisting in tasks that relate to the conduct of clinical trials. This position is essential to providing support to our other clinicians within the unit and to our patients overall positive health. Additionally, this position will take on a Clinical Manager role as well, mentoring staff at the research site and assisting in overseeing employees’ performance, evaluations, corrective action plans, and the management of staff schedules. The Clinical Manager is essential in the day-to-day management to ensure that the site is running smoothly and effectively. The typical responsibilities include developing and implementing policies and directives, handling communications, managing staff recruitment, providing quality training to the staff, and supervising overall daily activities at the site. Not only is this position crucial to employees but also will be evaluating and implementing study protocols.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and operate medicalequipment.
  • Perform physical exams and patientobservations.
  • Administer medications and treatments and monitorpatients.
  • Protocol related clinical assessments of researchsubjects.
  • On call coverage if applicable
  • Detect changes in a patient’s health and change treatment plans, asnecessary.
  • Providing profitable management of the clinical research business, consistent with company policies, principles, strategies, and objectives
  • Accountable for the overall coordination, organization, and efficient implementation of clinical trials management, operations, and regulatory compliance
  • Attend meeting and communicate withstaff.
  • In executing these position responsibilities, the Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Manager is guided by Good Clinical Practices (GCP), International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and company standard operating procedures andpolicies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education and experience
    • For an NP-Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program. Current valid RN license. Board Certification.
    • For a PA-Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. State specific PA license. Board Certification.
    • 5+ years in a leadership role with on-site management responsibilities
    • Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including quality assurance finance, and employee management.
    • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.
    • Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands.
    • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legislative guidelines
  • Requirements
    • Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, demonstrated by previous professional success leading a multifunctionalteam.
    • Experience business plan development and budgeting
    • Proven ability to develop innovative solutions for increasedproductivity.
    • Superior negotiation skills in both internal and external settings
    • Working knowledge of Clinical Trials related to CNS studies.
