Job summary

WorkCare Inc is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support medical and safety efforts at a large-scale construction site in Boise, ID. The role requires on-site presence and a schedule of Monday and Tuesday 6:00am to 4:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-aid and medical treatment per Workers’ Compensation standards.
• Conduct on-site wellness and preventive services.
• Perform TB tests, immunizations, blood draws, and drug testing as required.
• Maintain employee health records and HIPAA compliance.
• Coordinate with Medical Director and WorkCare on clinic issues.
• Manage reporting and data entry for employee health information.

Job Summary

We are looking for a part-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support medical and safety efforts at a large scale construction site located in Boise, ID. This project is anticipated to last multiple years with exact timing to be determined by client requirements.

Schedule: Monday and Tuesday 6:00am - 4:00pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides first-aid, medical treatment and appropriate follow-up to occupationally ill/injured workers consistent with appropriate Workers’ Compensation standards and laws.
• Provides first-aid or minimal incidental care and treatment and appropriate follow-up for non-occupational conditions consistent with appropriate standards for an employer on-site clinic and laws.
• Performs regulatory testing, TB tests, immunizations, blood draws, drug testing if required.
• Performs other wellness activities, flu shots, education and coaching for programs as requested.
• Performs examinations for employee medical surveillance programs including new hire, fit-for-duty, return-to-work, or exit exams.
• Provides return-to-work clearances as appropriate.
• Performs effective case management follow-up for injuries/illness and absences.
• Provides counseling to employees on employment risk reduction initiatives as needed.
• Maintains frequent communication with Medical Director and WorkCare Supervisor regarding all clinic issues and client requests.
• Maintains employee health records and databases.
• Computer data entry of all employee demographic and health information.
• Responsibly handles and guards Protected Health Information.
• Follows all applicable HIPAA laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Develops and maintains good relationships with client management, medical and safety personnel, co-workers and WorkCare supervisors and managers.
• Communicates with appropriate client management frequently.
• Provides timely, accurate reporting as dictated by client, WorkCare and by law.
• Perform additional duties and assume additional responsibilities as identified by manager for the efficient operation of WorkCare.

Qualifications (Education and Experience)

• Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Idaho with national certification in the state applying to.
• Must have unrestricted DEA license.
• Current ACLS/BLS certifications.
• A minimum of 3 years advanced practice experience with prior occupational medicine preferred.

Physical Demands

• Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk.
• Some bending and stretching may be required.
• Working under stress and use of computer/phone required.
• Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard.
• Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch.
• May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Requires daily walk to & from parking lot to clinic.
• May drive emergency vehicle within the site when responding to an incident.

Work Environment

• Mainly indoor, office environment conditions.
• The noise level is usually moderate.

• Clinic is located within the protected/regulated area.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly pay range: $71.00 - $75.00 per hour. Final compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.

Benefits include pro-rated PTO and 401(k).
