Rhino Medical seeks an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for an ongoing locum tenens assignment across the Jersey Shore region of New Jersey.

This three-shift-per-week position runs from October through December with potential extension, covering Ocean and Eatontown locations and flexible scheduling.

You'll perform evaluation, laceration repair, splinting, women's health, rapid infectious disease testing, and DOT or occupational health tasks in a fast-paced, AI-assisted EMR environment.

Qualifications

• NJ license and DEA registration required.
• At least 2 years of urgent care experience.
• ANP certification and BLS current.
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to float between Jersey Shore locations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat common urgent care presentations.
• Procedural care including laceration repair and splinting.

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for an ongoing opportunity across the Jersey Shore region of New Jersey.

This is an attractive option for an experienced urgent care NP who wants a consistent three-shift-per-week schedule while maintaining broad clinical scope. Coverage begins in October and runs through December, with potential to extend, across multiple established urgent care locations in the Ocean and Eatontown markets.

Opportunity Highlights

• 8:30 AM–7:00 PM
• Multiple Jersey Shore locations
• Approximately 25–40 patients per day
• All locations use Carbon Health's proprietary EMR with AI-assisted documentation

Jersey Shore Coverage

Providers must be comfortable floating between participating locations in:

• Ocean, New Jersey
• Eatontown, New Jersey
• Potential additional Jersey Shore locations

Specific scheduling will vary by coverage need. Candidates should be prepared to work across the participating locations rather than at a single clinic.

Clinical Practice

This is a busy, full-scope urgent care environment with broad outpatient presentations and hands-on procedural care.

Clinical responsibilities include:

• Evaluation and treatment of common urgent care presentations
• Laceration repair and suturing
• Splinting
• Women's health examinations
• STD evaluation and testing
• Rapid flu, COVID and mono testing
• Rapid HIV testing
• Urinalysis
• DOT-related occupational health services
• Other routine urgent care procedures and treatment

The clinics currently operate primarily with single-provider coverage, although staffing may expand based on patient volume.

Technology-Enabled Workflow

The practice uses its own integrated EMR platform with an AI-assisted documentation component designed to support faster, more efficient charting—a meaningful advantage in an urgent care environment seeing approximately 25–40 patients per day.

Requirements

• Active New Jersey license
• Active DEA
• Minimum 2 years of urgent care experience
• ANP certification
• Current BLS
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong procedural urgent care skills
• Comfortable practicing independently in a busy urgent care environment
• Ability to float between participating Jersey Shore locations
• Local/regional candidate preferred
