Job summary

Live Urgent Care is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Greater Philadelphia area team in a full-time on-site role. You will assess, diagnose and treat patients with acute illnesses and minor injuries, order tests, prescribe medications, and develop evidence-based treatment plans, including COVID-19 evaluation/testing and occupational health services.

They require NP licensure with national certification (FNP/AGNP preferred), BLS, and ideally ACLS/PALS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program; current NP license and national certification (e.g., FNP, AGNP) in good standing.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS strongly preferred.
• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or family practice is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Independently assess, diagnose and treat patients with acute illnesses and minor injuries.
• Perform histories and physicals, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications.
• Deliver evidence-based treatment plans and provide COVID-19 evaluation/testing, occupational health exams and school/sports physicals.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff; document care in EMR; educate patients and families; support clinic workflows.

Role Description

The Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Philadelphia area. This role involves independently assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with a broad range of acute illnesses and minor injuries in a fast-paced urgent care setting. Responsibilities include performing histories and physicals, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and delivering evidence-based treatment plans. The Nurse Practitioner will provide services such as COVID-19 evaluation and testing, occupational health exams, school and sports physicals, and routine primary care for non-emergent conditions. Additional duties include collaborating with physicians and clinical staff, documenting care in the electronic medical record, educating patients and families, and supporting clinic workflows to ensure timely, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Nurse Practitioner skills, including autonomous clinical decision-making and advanced assessment capabilities.
• Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Nursing, with demonstrated clinical experience in outpatient or acute care settings.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Urgent Care, including triage, management of minor trauma, and treatment of common acute conditions.
• Candidates should possess competency in Primary Care and Medicine, with the ability to manage routine health concerns and coordinate follow-up care.
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program; current NP license and national certification (e.g., FNP, AGNP) in good standing.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS strongly preferred.
• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or family practice is highly beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse, team-based clinical environment.
• Comfort with electronic medical records and basic digital health tools.
• Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed to support patient access.
