Matrix Providers is hiring a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to perform one-time, non-treatment VA disability exams in Pensacola, FL. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm, with compensation at $58.59/hr and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, PTO, holidays, and 401(k).

Candidates must hold an active NP/PA license, NCCPA certification for PAs, a master's degree or approved NP/PA program, and an active BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license for the duration of employment.
• Physician Assistants must hold an active NCCPA certification and remain certified during the duration of employment.
• Have a master's degree or successfully completed an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Certification: Have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Vaccination against CDC/state guidelines required.

Responsibilities

• Review pertinent medical history documentation and provide veterans with one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams.
• Capture responses during the exam through web-based examination forms; documentation completed electronically.
• Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
• Standard exams include musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory.
• Ancillaries may be ordered and conducted on location or nearby.

• Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm.

This role supports patient care during sensitive procedures where patients may request a same-gender staff member. The facility seeks to ensure appropriate gender representation among staff to accommodate patient choice.

Requirements and Skillsets:

• Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license for the duration of your employment.
• Physician Assistants must hold an active NCCPA certification and remain certified during the duration of their employment.
