Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ambulatory OB/GYN setting.
• Perform histories, exams, and order screening tests to establish diagnoses.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with treatments and medications.
• Manage obstetric and follow-up gynecologic care, including annual wellness visits.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other team members; refer as needed.
• Educate patients and staff; participate in interdisciplinary education and precepting.

The outpatient OB/GYN practice is a busy, collaborative environment located at a convenient Cambridge location, dedicated to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care across the lifespan.

Advanced Practitioner / Advance Practice Provider / Physician Assistant - Obstetrics and Gynecology

Job Details:

• Full-time position, 40 hours per week, five 8-hour shifts with no nights, weekends, or major holidays
• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ambulatory outpatient OB/GYN setting serving a diverse patient population
• Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care for a panel of patients
• Conduct patient histories, physical examinations, and order screening and diagnostic tests to establish diagnoses
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care including treatments and medications within defined practice guidelines
• Manage obstetric patients and provide follow-up gynecologic care including annual wellness visits
• Monitor patient response to therapy and revise care plans accordingly, with emphasis on patient education and self-care
• Collaborate and seek consultation with physicians, midwives, and other members of the healthcare team
• Make appropriate referrals as indicated by patient needs
• Identify learning needs of patients and staff and collaborate with team leaders on educational priorities
• Participate in interdisciplinary education programs and provide clinical precepting for nursing, nurse practitioner, and medical students
• Master's degree in Nursing required
• Valid Massachusetts nursing license and prescriptive authority from both MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA required
• MA Board authorization to practice as an APRN NRSG required
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• 1-3 years of related work experience required
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and Microsoft Office required
• Related primary care practice expertise preferred
• All staff must be vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment
