BAS Healthcare, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PMHNP) to join its obstetrics-gynecology program. You will perform psychiatric assessments and provide medication management for women through pregnancy and postpartum periods, coordinating with physicians, midwives, and nurses.

You will work in-person and via telehealth across Cambridge, Waltham, Arlington, Watertown, and nearby offices, serving diverse patient populations and contributing to student education within the department.

Competenze

• Must have MSN or DNP with PMHNP specialization.
• Massachusetts PMHNP license and DEA registration required.
• Experience with psychiatric assessment in obstetrics-gynecology preferred.

The facility provides comprehensive women's health services across multiple community-based obstetric-gynecologic offices, offering a collaborative and multidisciplinary care environment.

Opportunity:

Advanced Practitioner / Advance Practice Provider / Physician Assistant

Job Details:

• Serve in a unique endowed role focused on providing comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing behavioral health management for patients within the obstetrics-gynecology department


• Conduct psychiatric assessments specifically tailored to women's health life stages including perimenopause/menopause, perinatal depression and anxiety, premenstrual dysphoric disorder and chronic pain or anxiety related to gynecologic diagnoses such as endometriosis, adenomyosis, urinary incontinence or fibroids, recurrent pregnancy loss and traumatic birth


• Provide medication management including safely prescribing, monitoring and adjusting psychotropic medications with experience assessing implications for women who are pregnant, anticipating pregnancy or breastfeeding


• Collaborate with obstetric-gynecologic physicians, midwives, nurses, specialists, social workers and other healthcare professionals to coordinate outpatient psychiatric patient care


• Provide care both in-person and via telehealth across 5 core community offices located in Waltham, Cambridge, Arlington and Watertown


• Provide short-term therapy, coping strategies and psychoeducation to patients and their families regarding their diagnosis and treatment options


• Participate in periodic education for students and learners rotating within obstetrics-gynecology


• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a specialization as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) required


• Active Massachusetts license as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) required


• DEA registration required


• Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required


• Must be able to see patients in ambulatory offices for in-person sessions


• Influenza (flu) vaccination required as a condition of employment
