NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for the Comprehensive Health Program in New York, NY. The NP will diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions, provide psychotherapy, and prescribe medications, with opportunities for clinical supervision of social workers and other clinicians.

Required: Master's in Advanced Nursing Practice, PMH-NP cert, NYS RN/FNP licensure, BLS, and at least 2 years NP experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Advanced Nursing Practice is required.
• Board Certification in PMH-NP is required.
• Current NYS RN and FNP licensure is required.
• Current BLS through the AHA is required.
• Minimum of two years NP experience is required.
• Well versed in psychotherapy modalities is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Today, we care for over 3,000 individuals with HIV, hepatitis C, STDs, and other infectious conditions, including prevention services such as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP). Nurse Practitioner - NP - Comprehensive Health Program - Days

The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing acute illness; providing psychotherapy; prescribing medication for both acute and chronic illness; interpreting labs and diagnostic studies, as well as provide clinical consultation and supervision to our behavioral health clinicians (social workers) and other clinical team members. The individual must be able to work with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills and a desire to work with populations who have a high prevalence of mental illness, trauma and substance use. This is a full time position working Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm at NewYork-Presbyterian’s Ambulatory Care Network/Comprehensive Health Program in Washington Heights.

Preferred Criteria:

• Psychiatric Experience
• Experience with the HIV Population
• Bilingual - English and Spanish
