Matrix Providers is hiring a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to conduct one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Yuma, AZ. The role is full-time with Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm, on-site, with a competitive benefits package.

You must hold an active NP license and BLS certification, be able to work independently and in a team, and meet CDC vaccination guidelines. Prior VA exam experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license for the duration of employment.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills and flexibility to changing situations.
• Basic computer skills.
• On-site staff and contractors must be fully vaccinated per CDC/state guidelines.
• Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review medical history and provide one-time, non-treatment veterans exams for disability and pension determinations.
• Capture responses during exams via web-based forms; finalize documentation electronically and submit to VA.
• Exams cover musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory areas.
• Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and conducted on-site or nearby.

• Employment Status: Full Time
• Compensation: This is a hourly position. $55.00- $58.59
• Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm.

Requirements and Skillsets: The Nurse Practitioner NP must have and meet the following qualifications:

Job Summary:

• The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will capture responses during the exam through web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
• Standard exams include - musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory.
• Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and will be conducted on location or nearby.
