Job summary

Turning Point Care Center, Inc. is seeking a Psych Certified Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP/PMHCNS) to join our team in Georgia.

The NP will collaborate with the Medical Director and a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, develop diagnosis plans, prescribe treatments, and oversee mental health regimens for adults with behavioral health concerns. The position is a full-time role with 40 hours per week and one weekend per month; schedule may vary.

Qualifications

• MSN with PMHNP or PMHCNS certification from an accredited organization (ANCC/AANP).
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Georgia.
• Five years of psychiatric/chemical dependency nursing experience.
• Knowledge of DSM-5 and biopsychosocial assessment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and determine diagnosis plans.
• Prescribe treatments and manage mental health regimens in collaboration with the designated physician.
• Work with Medical Director, clinical staff, and nursing staff to coordinate care.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants will have:

• Master of Science in Nursing with certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist (PMHCNS) with one of the accredited National Certification Organizations (ANCC, AANP).
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia; Certification with a National Certification Board
• Five (5) years of experience in the area of psychiatric/chemical dependency nursing.
• Knowledge and mastery of DSM-5 and biopsychosocial assessment.

This position is 40 hours per wk, one weekend per month, schedule may vary.
