Matrix Providers Inc. is hiring a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team for conducting one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Cedar Rapids, IA. This is a full-time on-site opportunity with a daytime schedule, Monday to Friday.

The NP must hold an active NP license and BLS certification, work well independently and with a team, and be comfortable using computer-based forms. Vaccination per CDC/state guidelines is required for on-site staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review medical history documents and conduct one-time, non-treatment VA disability exams.
• Capture responses during exams using web-based forms; submit electronically to VA for disability determinations.
• Perform standard exams focusing on musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory systems.
• Order and coordinate ancillary tests (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) as needed on-site or nearby.

Matrix Providers is hiring a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Cedar Rapids, IA.

• Employment Status: Full Time


• Compensation: This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly $54.00-58.59/hr


• Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Requirements and Skillsets:

The Nurse Practitioner (NPmust have and meet the following qualifications:

• Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license for the duration of your employment.


• Certification: Have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.


• Must possess basic computer skills.


• All on-site staff and contractors must be fully vaccinated per CDC and state guidelines.


• Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.

Job Summary:

• Review pertinent medical history documentation and provide veterans with one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams.


• The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will capture responses during the exam through web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.


• Standard exams include - musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory.


• Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and will be conducted on location or nearby.
