Amergis in Kentucky is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver patient care within license scope, perform exams, order tests, assess health conditions, prescribe medications and educate patients and families.
This part-time contract role requires active NP certification and state license, CPR as applicable, and compliance with state regulations and collaboration agreements. Position pays $560 weekly and runs for 8 weeks in a healthcare facility.
The Nurse Practitioner provides health care services to patients within scope of license, performs physical examinations and diagnostic tests, assessments and screenings, prescribes medications, and instructs patients and family members on medical conditions and treatment. Additionally, the Nurse Practitioner may have an area of specialty practice.
Current Nurse Practitioner Certification and license in the state of practice required
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a nationally accredited nursing organization (e.g. American Academy of Nurse Practitioners — AANP, American Nurses Credentialing Center — ANCC) is preferred
Specialty Certification as per client request and or state regulations if applicable
One year experience as an NP preferred
Maintain collaboration agreements, per state requirements
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
