Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Nurse Practitioner for a contract-full-time position in Columbia, SC. The NP will provide health care services within the scope of license, perform physical examinations, diagnostic tests, assessments, screenings, prescribe medications, and educate patients and families on conditions and treatments.

Required: current NP license, state certification; AANP/ANCC preferred; 1 year NP experience preferred; maintain collaboration agreements; CPR and health

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner license and certification in the practicing state.
• National NP certification (AANP or ANCC) preferred.
• Specialty certification as required by the client or state rules if applicable.
• Minimum 1 year of NP experience preferred.
• Maintain collaboration agreements per state requirements.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current health certificate as required by contract or state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services within license scope.
• Perform physical examinations, diagnostic tests, assessments, and screenings.
• Prescribe medications and counsel patients and families on health conditions and treatments.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.

Job description

The Nurse Practitioner provides health care services to patients within scope of license, performs physical examinations and diagnostic tests, assessments and screenings, prescribes medications, and instructs patients and family members on medical conditions and treatment. Additionally, the Nurse Practitioner may have an area of specialty practice.

• Current Nurse Practitioner Certification and license in the state of practice required
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a nationally accredited nursing organization (e.g. American Academy of Nurse Practitioners – AANP, American Nurses Credentialing Center – ANCC) is preferred
• Specialty Certification as per client request and or state regulations if applicable
• One year experience as an NP preferred
• Maintain collaboration agreements, per state requirements
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
