Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for contract-full time roles across Texas. The NP will provide comprehensive medical care, collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, and order tests and treatments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care services and treatment to patients of all ages within scope of license.
• Collaborate with physician and multidisciplinary team to collect and document patient data and perform examinations.
• Prescribe medications and treatments and order laboratory and diagnostic studies.
• Provide evidence based care and comprehensive services including direct patient care.
• May have an area of specialty practice.

Job description

The Nurse Practitioner provides medical care services and treatment to patients of all ages within scope of license, in collaboration with a physician as required by law. The Nurse Practitioner collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to collect and document patient data, performs physical examinations, diagnostic and therapeutic tests and procedures, assessments and screenings, prescribes medications and treatments, orders and schedules laboratory and diagnostic studies to provide evidence based care and comprehensive services including direct patient care. Additionally, the Nurse Practitioner may have an area of specialty practice.

• Current Nurse Practitioner Certification and license in the state of practice required
• RN license in the state of practice required
• Specialty Certification as per client request and or state regulations if applicable
• One (1) year experience as an NP preferred
• Maintain collaboration agreements, per state requirements
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
