Job summary

Penn State Health - Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide outpatient care in minimally invasive gynecologic procedures and related follow‑up. The role involves office procedures, patient education, and active participation in expanding services across the region.

Ideal candidates will have Women’s Health or Surgical experience, hold a Master’s in Nursing with NP certification, and be licensed as a CRNP in Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• Requires Masters in Nursing and NP certification.
• PA CRNP license required.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care including office procedures (pap smears, biopsies) and postoperative follow‑ups.
• Review abnormal results with patients and educate via patient portal messages.
• Manage a dedicated patient panel and participate in growth of services across the region.
• Care for patients with endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, and fibroids.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

APP will be responsible for outpatient patient care including, but not limited to, office procedures such as pap smears, punch biopsies, endometrial biopsies, etc., as well as reviewing abnormal results with patients, covering postoperative appointments, patient education, answering patient portal messages, and managing their own dedicated patients independently. Our ideal candidate would possess some Women’s Health or Surgical experience and would be interested in the opportunity to take an active part in the growth of our services to patients across the region. This position will encompass caring for individuals with endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, and fibroids.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Masters Degree in Nursing
• National certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse
• Current license to practice as CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners
• Two (2) years' work experience as an RN
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
