The State of Maryland seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Nurse-Midwife to provide direct medical care under physician supervision at Deer's Head Hospital Center in Salisbury. You will work with a team to treat chronic and complex cases in a warm family atmosphere.
Experience in acute or long-term care, strong coordination skills, and the ability to collaborate with families and staff are highly valued. Pain management and complex case scheduling will be part of daily duties.

This position will work in collaboration with the Physicians to provide medical direction and provide quality medical care in a warm family atmosphere. This position provides direct medical care to chronically and severely ill patients whose condition represents complex medical and psychological disorders, including renally impaired, respiratory impaired, cardiac, stroke, diabetes, brain trauma, malignant disease, etc.
Education: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses under the certification requirements for Nurse Practitioner or Nurse-Midwife.
Experience: One year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or as a Nurse-Midwife.
Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Midwife classification or Nurse Practitioner or Nurse-Midwife specialty codes in the Nursing field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
