The CRNP is responsible for applying advanced nurse practice skills for patients undergoing interventional cardiac procedures or percutaneous intervention in the Cardiac Catheterization (Cath) Lab. This includes pre- and post-procedure orders. They are also responsible for rounding and discharging post-PCI patients, which could be same-day or next-day discharges. The CRNP performs Stress Tests and must possess expert communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health team. A strong knowledge base in Cardiology, including reading EKGs and managing patients in the Cardiac population, is essential.
Minimum 3 years clinical nursing in Cardiology or Critical Care, with at least 1 year of advanced practice experience.
